Meet Drs. Green and Mendoza
January and February 2025 Circle of Excellence Physician Winners
Cierra Green, Ochsner Health primary care physician in Long Beach, Mississippi, received Ochsner Health Network’s first Circle of Excellence recognition in 2025. Her efforts to improve HCC capture rates, topping the charts at 90% reconciled, gained her a spot in the “circle” of OHN clinicians recognized for excellence in clinical documentation. She positively influences colleagues in her region to optimize documentation and actively communicates with the clinical documentation team to ensure alignment of goals, metrics and the tools required for effective HCC capture.
The second Circle of Excellence winner for 2025 is Dr. Douglas Mendoza, section head for Baton Rouge Cardiology specializing in interventional cardiology at the Ochsner O’Neal campus. It is evident from his chart reviews that he cares about quality patient care and improving outcomes for his patients through detailed documentation. Dr. Mendoza’s Encounter Action Rate stayed above 95% throughout 2024, and he continues that trend into 2025.
